Background
Vrutti is a not for profit organization founded in the year 2002 and has been working with rural communities, who are predominantly dependent on farm-based livelihoods to improve their resilience and create wealth using an ‘entrepreneurship-led’ model to bring about lasting and scalable impact among the farming community by making farmers realise that ‘agriculture/ farming’ is an enterprise, farmer an entrepreneur, and delivery of services through entrepreneurship-led approaches which is unique to Vrutti.
Vrutti works through three livelihood transformation models: (a) Growing prosperity of small producers (farm, forest, fish, livestock), and covering other related themes –Water, Financial Inclusion, Climatic Resilience and Energy; (b) Livelihood and social security for the marginalised and vulnerable communities: (c) Growth and Sustainability of Small Producers. Vrutti's is currently working in 6 states of India with:
- Small and marginal farmers and landless labourers – about 132,000 families; of which 40% of members are women; about 40% tribal.
- People vulnerable to HIV/AIDS - Women – about 118,000; Transgender – about 12,000; MSM – 8,000 through 70 Community Organisations across 5 states of India
- Supporting 200+ women owned businesses, 80 Agri SMEs and about 50,000 MSMEs across states in India
- Other groups that we support through partners include children in difficult circumstances, vulnerable to disasters.

Role: This position will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL) systems and processes across various programs, projects and at organization levels. The role will involve coordinating and working with vertical leads, field teams, and enabling teams in the organization. The roles will include working with multiple stakeholders clients, business partners, government agencies etc
Major responsibilities:
- Create M&E systems for performance improvements of field teams, accountability to beneficiaries, donors and other stakeholders, and build capacity of staff
- Contribute to develop and update dashboards with real time data across verticals and enablers
- Support in documentation and preparation of periodic reports for the donors, governing board, and other stakeholders
- Conducting programme related, evaluation and impact assessment studies
- Facilitating and implementing various assessments on the ground - PICAT, Social Audits, Group Self Assessment etc.
- Facilitating learning/experience sharing/dissemination workshops across teams for cross learning
- Support in implementation of Staff performance appraisal system
- Support and contribution to explore, pilot and implement various technology solutions at programme and organizational level
Qualification:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in any field with at least 2-3 years of work experience in M&E roles, preferably in Agriculture, Fisheries, Enterprises, Finance etc.
Essential Skills:
- Strong skills in measurement, data analysis and project management, qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques
- Understanding of concepts like Logic Model/ Logical Framework, Theory of Change, Monitoring cycles, baseline, end-line etc
- Strong communication skills through thought provoking questions and ability to seek solutions at scale
- Experience of project management, implementation and monitoring.
- Demonstrated skills of preparing quality materials and reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and google (g-doc, g-sheet etc.) with basic formulas
- Proficiency in English and any one regional language (preferably Hindi) both written and oral.
Preferences:
- Proficiency in analytical software's - R, Stata, Epi info, SPSS etc.
- Proficiency in Infographics
