Location: Delhi (Hybrid)
Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing, Public Policy, or a related field
Experience Needed:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, marketing and brand positioning (preferably in the development / social impact sector)
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communications strategies and campaigns
- Content development and thought leadership
- Writing for publications, blogs, reports, or media content
- Experience working with multi-stakeholder environments (platforms, partnerships, networks)
- Experience in end to end brand shaping communications is preferable

Scope of Work
1. Communications Strategy Development (20%)
- Develop annual and quarterly communications plans aligned with Upfront’s brand strategy and priorities.
- Identify priority audiences, key messages, platforms, and communication goals.
- Build a clear roadmap for campaigns, thought leadership, and visibility efforts.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership to translate strategic priorities into communication narratives.
- Align communication plans with broader Catalyst Platform big bets and identify opportunities for cross-brand amplification.
2. Brand Positioning & Narrative Management (15%)
- Operationalise Upfront’s brand positioning across all communication outputs.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and narrative across channels and materials.
- Refine and evolve key messages based on sector trends and organisational priorities.
- Support leadership positioning (CEO, senior team) through aligned narratives and visibility opportunities.
3. Campaigns & Communications Execution (20%)
- Lead the execution of integrated communication campaigns (digital, events, media, partnerships).
- Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with strategic priorities.
- Oversee creation of communication assets (articles, reports, presentations, social media, etc.).
- Coordinate with designers, agencies, and internal teams for timely delivery.
- Collaborate with Catalyst Platform brands to co-create and amplify joint campaigns where relevant.
4. Thought Leadership & External Visibility (15%)
- Identify and drive opportunities for Upfront’s presence in:
- Conferences, forums, and panels
- Publications and media platforms
- Partnerships and collaborations
- Support development of high-quality thought leadership content (articles, op-eds, reports).
- Build and manage a pipeline of external visibility opportunities.
5. Digital & Platform Management (10%)
- Oversee Upfront’s digital presence (website, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Ensure consistent and strategic use of platforms for brand building.
- Track engagement and optimize content strategy accordingly.
6. Monitoring, Learning & Insights (10%)
- Define and track key communication and brand metrics (reach, engagement, visibility, conversions where relevant).
- Analyze performance of campaigns and platforms.
- Use insights to refine communication strategies and improve effectiveness.
7. Collaboration & Internal Coordination (10%)
- Work closely with Catalyst Platform communications teams and other affiliated brands to:
- Align messaging and narratives
- Identify cross-brand storytelling opportunities
- Coordinate joint campaigns, announcements, and visibility efforts
- Act as the primary communication focal point for Upfront.
- Coordinate with internal program and leadership teams to source content and align messaging.
- Establish and streamline communication processes and workflows across teams.
What Success Looks Like
- Upfront has a clear, differentiated voice in the worker wellbeing and value chain space.
- A consistent pipeline of visibility is established (publications, panels, partnerships), not one-off bursts.
- Leadership is positioned as credible, thoughtful voices in the ecosystem, with regular external presence.
- Campaigns move beyond awareness to influence conversations, partnerships, and uptake.
- Digital platforms (especially LinkedIn and website) show steady growth in engagement and relevance, not just volume.
- Internal teams experience communications as an enabler, not a bottleneck.
Compensation and Contract
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned with sector benchmarks.
- This will be a full-time role.
Travel Requirements
- Moderate travel may be required for events, partner meetings, field exposure, and key campaign activations.
- Travel will be planned and purposeful, not routine.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Proficiency in Hindi is strongly preferred.
- Additional Indian languages are a plus, especially for grounded storytelling and wider audience reach.
