Position: Business Manager

CMS is driving health and financial inclusion in low-income communities in Bangalore, Karnataka. This innovative approach integrates preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health care with financial solutions, using a social enterprise model that not only delivers healthcare but also empowers households with financial literacy, promotes savings, and facilitates access to affordable financial products. The Business Manager will be responsible for operationalizing this model and managing its day-to-day operations, including oversight of the model’s profit and loss (P&L).


Key Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and leading the social business health care model ensuring financial viability, sustainability, and scalability of the health care model. 

Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and revenue generation, ensuring profitability and efficient resource optimisation. 

Build and engage partnerships effectively with private sector healthcare providers such as local hospitals, lab diagnostics ,and health products agencies 

Ensure delivery of high-quality healthcare services through frontline health workers and healthcare providers.

Identify and pursue opportunities for scaling the model in new geographies and sectors.

Responsible for establishing performance metrics and regularly tracking business outcomes to drive accountability and impact.  

Integrate digital health solutions and data-driven approaches to optimize healthcare delivery, quality, and efficiency. 

Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and enterprise governance frameworks.

Accelerate financial services and product operations for community cooperatives, ensuring transparency and accountability. 

Identify and address implementation challenges on time to ensure the smooth execution of strategies and activities. 

Qualification & Experience

Master’s degree in Business Administration or Social Entrepreneurship, or relevant experience working with leading pharmaceutical companies.

5 to 8 years of leadership experience in healthcare social enterprise or related domains.

  2. Strong understanding of business principles, including financial management, marketing, and strategic planning to ensure sustainability and growth.
  3. Flexibility to navigate challenges and innovate in response to changing circumstances or market conditions.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, customers, service providers, and community leaders to enhance support and collaboration.
  5. Proficiency in working with community-led co-operatives and/or financial institutions. 

Job Location: 


The position is based in Bangalore, with travel as required to other project sites.
